Quick Start Guide – HALO 6HP Outboard

This Quick Start Guide provides essential setup and safety instructions to help you get your BLADE HALO 6 Outboard ready for use quickly and safely. Please follow all steps carefully and refer to the full Owner’s Manual for detailed information. See attached Quick Start Guide to download.



1. Preparing for Installation

✔️ Remove any protective coverings or shipping materials before use.
✔️ Ensure the quick-release pin is installed.
✔️ If applicable, connect the grounding cable.


2. Mounting the Outboard

✔️ Step 1: Attach the transom mount to the boat using the clamps.
✔️ Step 2: Fasten the outboard motor to the transom clamp securely with the fastener.


3. Attaching the Tiller Control

✔️ Step 1: Attach the tiller handle to the motor.
✔️ Step 2: Insert the screw and attach the nut.
✔️ Step 3: Insert the quick-release pin to lock the tiller angle.
✔️ Step 4: Connect the tiller control cable to the outboard.


4. Installing and Connecting the Battery

✔️ Step 1: Carefully slide the battery into the motor.
✔️ Step 2: Fully charge the battery to 100% before first use.
✔️ Step 3: Connect the power cable securely.


5. Starting the Outboard

✔️ Step 1: Attach the magnet key to activate the ignition.
✔️ Step 2: Turn on the ignition and twist the throttle to engage power.


6. Important Safety Reminders

⚠️ Before Operating:

  1. Read the full Owner’s Manual before using the outboard.
  2. Ensure all fasteners are tightened and secure.
  3. Never operate outside of water—keep the area around the propeller clear.
  4. Start at low throttle to get comfortable with the motor’s power.
  5. Always wear a lifejacket and keep out of reach of children.
  6. Connect the grounding cable before operation (if applicable).
